Cutting-edge Research at the TUM School of Management
Research at the TUM School of Management is characterized by its interdisciplinary approach - theory and research at the interface of business administration with engineering, natural and life sciences. Under the framework of this strategic orientation, research is undertaken in five groups. In these research groups the faculty takes on a leading role in a national and international environment.
With the setting up of Competence Centers (e.g. Center for Entrepreneurial and Financial Studies / CEFS) the faculty increases its research strengths through more intense cooperation with other research establishments and corporate partners. This enables early recognition of future economic developments, subsequently implemented in research and teaching theory.
Moreover, the professors and other members of the faculty are engaged in a great variety of state-of-the-art research projects e.g. with the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, German Research Foundation and EU.
