78th Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management in Chicago
The 78th Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management (AOM) took place in Chicago, Illinois, USA, from August 10 to August 14, 2018. The AOM is the biggest and most famous conference for management scholars. This year’s theme was “Improving Lives”. The motto raised the question: Improving Health and Well-being in Society: How Can Organizations Help? Organizations have an interdependent relationship with society and could contribute to the improvement of the health and well-being of those who live in it. The 2018 AOM conference tackled the questions of how to define the organizations’ responsibility and what is required to address the challenges of improving a society’s physical, psychological, social, and financial health.
At this year’s AOM Meeting there were over 30 presentations by members of TUM School of Management.
