Dr. Andreas Biagosch about senior executives on the case
TUM School of Management’s Advisory Board member and lecturer Dr. Andreas Biagosch wrote an article about the importance of involving senior executives with students on case studies. The article was published in the Global Focus magazine of the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD).
In the article, Dr. Andreas Biagosch argues that open cases are more exciting for students and teachers but harder to evaluate as the outcomes of the business case are not known yet. He further states that the involvement of senior leaders of the case company, giving very specific and relevant feedback, can change that. The TUM School of Management adapted this format in a modern case seminar that provides outstanding preparation for future business leaders.
Dr. Andreas Biagosch is a member of the TUM Management Alumni e.V. of TUM School of Management, he studied mechanical engineering and management and did his doctorate at the Technical University Munich (TUM). He spent 28 years with McKinsey & Co. and consulted leading companies in the automotive and aerospace industries. Today he serves on several boards as supervisor – predominantly at large family enterprises. Besides that, Dr. Andreas Biagosch is a member of the Advisory Board to TUM School of Management and lecturer at the chair of Management Accounting held by the dean Prof. Gunther Friedl.
