Dr. Mary Lou Jepsen at TUM Speaker Series
On Monday 22, 2018, the next TUM Speaker Series in cooperation with the DLD conference will take place in room 2270 at the main campus ot the Technical University of Munich (TUM). Dr. Mary Lou Jepsen is coming to talk about the topic „A look into your body – the evolution of displays“.
Dr. Mary Lou Jepsen is a technical executive, founder of the startup Openwater and known for innovations in the fields of display, imaging, and computer hardware. She has been awarded with many prices including TIME magazine’s “Time 100” as one of the 100 most influential people in the world and as a CNN top 10 thinker. Moreover, she gained experiences as engineering executive at Facebook, Oculus, Google[x] and Intel and has already founded four startups.
The TUM Speaker Series is an event series which is voluntarily organised by students and has been started in 1999. It aims at providing the students with insights into the working life and the career stages of renowned persons. Their stories shall be a motivation for the student’s own career and personal development. Last year, the TUM Speaker Series invited Bill Gates, Co-Chair of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and Dr. Gerd Müller, Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development, among others.TUM School of Management’s Alumni association, TUM Management Alumni e.V., is one of the partners of the TUM Speaker Series.
