Symposium on Alienation and Meaning in Production and Consumption
12 Jan 2017 - 13 Jan 2017
On 12 and 13 January 2017, TUM School of Management will be hosting the first invitational symposium on alienation and meaningfulness of production and consumption.
The purpose of the symposium is to bring together researchers excited about ways to make work, products, and consumption more meaningful and less alienating. The symposium focuses also on behavioral and psychological and behavioral reactions of workers and consumers to societal and technological progress such as digitization and automation. We are very happy that top-level behavioral scholars from leading universities including Cornell, Columbia, Harvard, Erasmus, London Business School, INSEAD, NYU, etc. will participate and present their latest research on these topics.
