Federal president will visit TUM for its 150th anniversary

On April 12, 2018, the Technical University of Munich (TUM) will commemorate its 150th anniversary and will receive an illustrious guest. On the main celebration date (April 12), alongside the Bavarian prime minister, the German federal president Frank-Walter Steinmeier has been scheduled to appear. Both men will address guests that have been invited to an exclusive event which will also be broadcasted on Bavarian television.

Since its inception in 1868 the Technical University of Munich has led German research and continues to be renowed not only in Germany but also internationally. The 150th anniversary of the university will feature not only the celebrations on April 12, but also a plethora of other events taking place all year round, including an open-door day throughout its many buildings on October 13, 2018.
