Prof. Jeffrey York will visit TUM School of Management
Prof. Dr. Jeffrey York, PhD, from the University of Colorado Boulder will visit TUM School of Management from August 28, 2018 to September 7, 2018. Prof. York is an Associate Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship and Research Director for the Deming Center for Entrepreneurship, as well as Shane Faculty Scholar at the University of Colorado, Boulder. His teaching and research focus is on environmental entrepreneurship, the simultaneous creation of ecological and economic goods. Research findings of Prof. York have been published in journals such as the Academy of Management Review, Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Business Venturing, Organization Science, and Strategic Management Journal. His research has won numerous awards including the Outstanding Reviewer Award of the Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal this year. Prof. York gives classes in business planning, entrepreneurial thinking, and environmental sustainability at different levels (undergraduate, MBA and PhD level).
During September 3 to September 5, 2018 Prof. York and TUM School of Management’s Prof. Dr. Frank-Martin Belz, who holds the Chair of Corporate Sustainability, will offer a postgraduate seminar on Qualitative Data Analysis (QDA) at TUM School of Management. The seminar focuses on skills such as analyzing qualitative data, generalizing and theorizing about qualitative data and writing qualitative research for publication in leading, international journals. The seminar is targeted at PhD and post doc researchers, who employ qualitative research designs and methods. In order to attend and participate in the postgraduate QDA seminar, an email must be sent to Frank.Belz@tum.de. The registration deadline is August 27, 2018.
