Bachelor in Management & Technology

We’re trying to make the application process as easy as possible for you. Should you have questions in regards to the application process or of any other sort, please feel free to use our FAQs or get in touch with us. Now let’s get started!

1

Apply ONLINE

Our TUMonline portal is where the magic happens: both national and international applicants must register on TUMonline to start their application process. The application period for the winter semester runs from May 15 until July 15 each year. Find more information on how to apply online here.

Apply Online

All international applicants with international university entrance qualifications (e.g. secondary level education qualifications) must also apply via uni-assist (you can have your documents reviewed by uni-assist at any time throughout the year). Further information for applicants applying with an IB Diploma can be found here. Find answers regarding uni-assist here.

WAIT FOR YOUR APPLICATION TO BE PROCESSED

All applications are reviewed by the admissions committee. We follow a two-step process to ensure that we select most qualified and suitable applicants for the programme. You will receive feedback to your application as soon as possible, but it should take no more than eight weeks.

Application and Admission Process

Applicants with a German Abitur:

When reviewing your application we will take both your final Abitur grade into account, as well as your three individual half-year grades (“Halbjahresnoten”) in German or English, Mathematics and in any Advanced Natural Science subject (Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Informatics or Technology).
Applicants who do not have any grades in one or more of those subjects will be invited for an interview directly.

Applicants with an international university entrance qualification:

When reviewing your application we will take your final grade and the grades you received in your last two years of secondary school in the subjects German or English, Mathematics and an Advanced Natural Science into account.
If we cannot assess your individual grades in the above-mentioned subjects, we will base our assessment on the final grade (GPA) of your university entrance qualification and your performance in the admission interview. Applicants who do not have any grades in one or more of those subjects will be invited for an interview directly.

Interviews

Should you be denied a direct admission, you still get the chance to prove yourself in the admission interview.

The interviews for the winter semester (2019 / 2020) intake for the main campus in Munich will take place on July 26th, August 2nd and September 13th, 2019.

The interview dates for the Straubing campus winter semester intake (2019/2020) (only for Specialization “Renewable Resources”) are going to be on August 1st, August 13th and September 10th 2019.

The interviews for the winter semester intake (2019/2020) for the Heilbronn campus (only for Specialization “Digital Technologies”) will take place on July 31st, August 7th and September 9th, 2019.

Please note that interviews can only take place on these dates and are in-person interviews! If you are applying for the “Renewable Resources” Specialization, please DO NOT choose any date at all in your TUMonline application. You were asked to pick your preferred dates on the “Preselection Form” on the external link that you were asked to fill out, remember? You will receive an invitation, as well as additional information about the process, via e-mail.
