Upon the ministries‘ approval our new program Management and Technology will start from winter term 2017/18. No new intakes for M.Sc. TUM BWL/ WITEC anymore.

How to Apply

To apply, please complete the application form online. Click here for instructions.

Once you have completed the online application form, you will receive a list of the additional documents that you will have to send in to the Registrar’s Office, together with a print-out of your completed application form.

Please make sure you submit your documents in the right format. For more information on the notarization requirements, please consult the TUM website.

Entrance Requirements

To qualify for the Master in Management & Technology (Track 1) applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree (requiring at least 6 semesters of study) or equivalent in Management and Technology (TUM-BWL) or a comparable program at the intersection of management and technology with at least 25 ECTS in management, 5 ECTS in economics and 30 ECTS in engineering or natural sciences (of which up to 12 ECTS may be completed in the field of mathematics or statistics)

In addition to the above university-wide options, TUM School of Management accepts the following proof of proficiency in English:

  • English-language examination modules of at least 12 ECTS credits in the first-degree program.

Important

  • Make sure you select “Technologie- und Managementorientierte Betriebswirtschaftslehre” (if you complete the online form in German) or “Management & Technology” (if you complete the online form in English).
  • Additionally, applicants must submit evidence of proficiency in English and German during the application period. Later submissions will not be accepted.

Assessment Procedure

To help us select the very best applicants, we follow a two-stage assessment procedure.

In Stage 1 of the assessment procedure, the Eligibility Commission decides on the basis of the transcript of records and where applicable the additional non-mandatory criteria to admit an applicant to the program. Candidates whose eligibility is still in doubt after this stage will be invited for an interview.

International Experience (studies abroad, internships abroad, summer/winter schools abroad etc. but no language courses) of at least 60 consecutive calendar days or at least 3 ECTS for summer/winter schools can be taken into account.

Curriculum Analysis

After the online application process applicants will be asked to fill out a curriculum analysis that according to the examination and study regulations is used to assess your eligibility and aptitude. Instructions for filling out the forms can be found here.

Before submitting the form online, please verify, if all your entries are correct and complete. Print the pdf-form after submission and add it to your printed TUMonline application forms and post them altogether.
