Santander and TUM School of Management sign cooperation contract
Oliver Burda, Deputy Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Santander Consumer Bank AG, and Prof. Dr. Gunther Friedl , Dean of TUM School of Management, signed the agreement of the future cooperation in Munich on Monday, April 3rd,2017 . The emphasis of the cooperation is on creating the best possible way to welcome new incoming students.
This support enables the Welcome Days for incoming students at TUM School of Management for the next two years as well as retroactively for 2016. To support the further expansion of the university´s internationalization beyond the engagement in a practical manner, a common and international scholarship scheme for internships is scheduled. Prof. Dr. Gunther Friedl sees a bright future ahead for this win-win-situation: „Using the excellent network of Santander Universities we can offer our students systematically great internships abroad and simultaneously expand the international experiences of our students in the future. The involved companies on the other hand profit from the high quality of our students.”

Santander supports the TUM School of Management in the name of Santander Universitäten Deutschland, which is a part of the global business unit Santander Universities. According to a current report of UNESCO Santander is one of the biggest private promoters of higher education.
