TUM School of Management Ranked Top German Business School
TUM School of Management is the top German business school according to the Korea University Business School’s (KUBS) Worldwide Business Research Rankings. Operations Management was recognized as especially strong specialty.
Out of over 300 business schools considered, the TUM School of Management was the highest ranked German business school. Amongst other, the area Operations Management was key to moving the TUM School of Management up the charts. Our Operations Management ranking was #38 in the world. The overall ranking of place 77 makes us the only German school to rank in the top 100 worldwide, and is nearly 30 places higher than the next German school. Prof. Dr. Gunther Friedl, dean of TUM School of Management commented the business school’s achievements: „This ranking shows our rapid development in recent years, and we are happy that our research at the intersection between management and technology finds its way into the top journals.“
The KUBS creates the rankings based on publications by faculty in 86 prestigious business journals. Individual area rankings are awarded in the disciplines of Accounting, Finance, Management, Management Information Systems, Marketing, Operations Management & Management Science, and International Business & Strategy. These are then combined to give a worldwide ranking based on publications from 2013-2017.
