What a great graduation ceremony last Friday
We are proud to report that this year’s “Tag der Fakultät” graduation ceremony at TUM School of Management was a great success. On Friday, November 29, 2019, 284 students officially graduated at the festive ceremony.
TUM School of Management’s Dean, Prof. Dr. Gunther Friedl, opened the proceedings. Other highlights included speeches by Prof. Dr. Claudia Peus, Senior Vice President of the Technical University of Munich, a Panel Discussion with Carsten Maschmeyer, Zara Bruhn, Maria Sievert and the the announcement of the TUMfast Start-up Pitch winner Leif-Hermann Lühmann for his outstanding Pitch “Frachtklub”.
As well as saying farewell, the event was an opportunity to honor outstanding achievements. Prof. Dr. Jürgen Ernstberger presented the Best Teaching Award to Prof. Dr. Maximilian Schiffer, Prof. Dr. Florian Bieberbach, Prof. Dr. Reiner Braun, Peter Paschek, Julia Holzmann and Dr. Christian Feilcke. Prof. Dr. Claudia Peus presented Prof. Dr. Jürgen Ernstberger with the Executive Education Award for Teaching Excellence. Finally, the Peter Pribilla Award went to Sascha Benjamin Mader for his Master Thesis „Different Students Require Different Teaching – Disseminative Capabilities and Inter-Organizational Knowledge Transfer in Startup-Researcher Dyads“, presented by Prof. Dr. Holger Patzelt.
After the awards presentation, TUM School of Management’s professors and faculty members officially bid farewell to the 284 graduates. The students had a blast at the ensuing graduation party hosted by TUM Management Alumni e.V. at Filmcasino, celebrating late into the evening.
Our sincere congratulations to all our graduates and award-winners, and thank you to everyone who took part in the event. Even though we are sad to see you go, we hope you all enjoyed the “Tag der Fakultät” and wish you all the best in your future careers!
